Policy statement & terms of use

Welcome to Clatskanie.Com . Our goal is to provide Clatskanie and the surrounding areas with reliable local internet access and to provide the equipment, services and technical support you need to make your on-line time a trouble free, enjoyable one. For the first time users, we think you will be amazed and excited as you learn to access the world of information that lies at your fingertips. We are here to make your exploration a great one! If you are an experienced user, we hope that you find our site a useful and reliable one. Our office hours are: 8.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
We are located on 1111 11th Avenue in Longview, Washington.
If you wish to contact us after hours,
we will return messages the following business day in the order received.
Technical support is provided for initial setup
and occassional problems/questions with your Internet connection. Individual hardware or software problems are not the responsibility of Clatskanie.Com.

Your account with Clatskanie.Com:
By opening and maintaining an account with Clatskanie.com we agree to provide you with unlimited Internet access, and an e-mail account. The term unlimited means that your account is not limited to the number of hours of use in any one month. It does not mean that you have a dedicated line account that allows you to be on-line 24 hours a day. Unlimited means that if you are sitting at your computer, accessing the internet, and using the system, there is no limit as to the number of hours in a month for your usage. We remind you that if you leave your computer, for more than a few minutes, to log off and allow someone else to have access to the system.
Your responsibilities for proper account use and information:
Upon opening an account with Clatskanie.com you have represented that you are at least eighteen years of age. You are fully responsible as to how your account is used. Any access by others is your responsibility and not that of Clatskanie.Com. Your password security is very important. For your own security it should not be given to anyone. We have taken extensive measures to keep your username, password, and all other information confidential and have taken
steps to ensure that your e-mail, which passes through our mail server,
is accessible only by you the end user.

Account payment practices:
Account payments are due on the 1st of each month. Past due accounts will be
disabled on the 11th of the month due. If there are special circumstances that keep you from meeting the payment deadline, you should contact the office @ 728-3734.
Non-paid accounts will be removed from the system at the end of the month.
We do offer voluntary suspension for 30 days or more, for vacations, repairs, etc.
Call the office for details. Suspension is for whole months only, and cannot be for partial months.

Account cancellation:
We ask that you please contact us, in writing, in the event you plan to close your account.
We will refund any unused, whole months that have been paid in advance.
We cannot refund partial months.

Now for the legal serious stuff (sorry but it has to be said):
The services of Clatskanie.com may only be used for lawful purposes.
Transmission, disk storage, or the forwarding of any material that is in violation of
state or federal regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
copyrighted material, obscene or threatening material, harassment of others
by either website or e-mail, spamming or sending unsolicited commercial e-mail
or chain letters, or the transmission of any destructive programs or viruses.
Any account user found to be involved will be immediately suspended, and possibly closed!
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Clatskanie.Com makes no warranties of any kind as to fitness of service for your account.
Clatskanie.com takes no responsibility for any loss of data, interruption of service, delays, non-deliveries, or any damages suffered by you, the account holder.
Clatskanie.com specifically denies any accuracy or quality of information obtained through this service.
Finally:
We want to thank you for reading through all of this! It ís something that has to be done, for your protection as well as ours. We have worked very hard these past years to build a reliable site that could be used and enjoyed by the members of our local communities.
We want to remind you to review these policies occasionally,
and if changes are made, we will notify you of the change.

as we will use that as a tool to keep you informed as we make changes
