The Clatskanie Kiwanis Club has been in operation since
June, 1928 and was sponsered by the Astoria club.
The club has a continuing program of community service. Since 1997, over $9000 has been raised for the International project to eliminate Iodine Deficiency Disease world wide.
For some time the club has presented 3-$1000 scholarships each year to a graduating CHS senior. This year we
were able to increase that to 3-$1500 scholarships.
We sponser a community Easter egg hunt, the local DARE project, and support Turning Point, COLCO, and the
Senior Center and sponsor the high school Key Club and a mid-school Kiwanis group, called Builders Club.
In addition, the club responds to a variety of school and community needs. Our active membership includes
62+ men and women which is a record high for our club!
